Our midge net uses the industry standard, NATO approved mesh which is well suited to keeping out the Highland midge. The ‘specs’ are safety overspecs which have the benefit of being usable ‘over specs’ but they also hold the mesh away from your face and eyes which reduces sweating and steaming up, without restricting vision.

The polycarbonate lens are scratch resistant and also anti-fog to further reduce steaming up. They’re also UKCA & CE certified safety specs!

The specs also have adjustable arms in length and tilt and seem to adapt securely to most head shapes. 

We have spent a long time trying to find the best ways of attaching the mesh to the glasses and our solution is almost as strong as the mesh itself. If it does come detached, it can be reattached or replaced if you send them back to us in otherwise good condition.

In our experience, using the Midge Specs makes being out in bad midge conditions almost enjoyable!
